Sports Marketing Class Welcomes Bruins Player

On Wednesday, May 17, Hannah Michaelson’s Sports Marketing Class at the high school welcomed guest speaker Brandon Bussi from the Boston Bruins. 

Brandon just finished his rookie year playing goalie in the American Hockey League for the Providence Bruins and was pulled up to the Boston Bruins towards the end of the season. 

Brandon spoke to the students about playing hockey in high school, through college, and now in the major leagues. In addition, he shared his experience balancing his workload as an accounting major with hockey and the process he is currently going through now seeing what next season holds. 

Ms. Michaelson noted that the students enjoyed hearing about the different experiences traveling with the AHL versus the NHL and learned about the contract signing process and Brandon’s experience working with agents.
