S.T.E.M. Collaboration at Lincoln Avenue

Recently, students in Mrs. Order's fourth grade class and Mrs. LoCurto's kindergarten class at Lincoln Avenue worked together on a S.T.E.M. project. The fourth graders acted as facilitators and guides while the kindergartners leveled candy hearts on a balance composed of a paper-cup fulcrum and a tongue depressor. They then added multiple candy hearts to the balance to see what the effect would be. The students in Mrs. LoCurto's class were thrilled by their accomplishments, while the fourth graders were proud of the work of their kindergarten buddies. With the guidance of the older students, the kindergartners were successful with the project!
