Successful Start For High School Debate Team

“The first Long Island Forensic Association debate tournament was a great success for Sayville High School’s very own Sofia Cangelosi and Gianna Maniscalco,” enthused Allyson Bricker, Debate Team Co-Advisor with Eileen Walsh-Aherns. “Sofia and Gianna competed in the Junior Varsity public forum style of debate, going three and one. They placed fourth out of sixteen JVPF teams, earning a half-qualification. With one more half-qualification, Sofia and Gianna will qualify for States!”
