Sayville School Employee Charitable Foundation

Since its inception in 2007, the foundation has raised slightly more than $211,000. THANK YOU!  With the exception of state and federal filing fees, every dollar raised has been given to charitable agencies, with the Chestene M. Coverdale Food Pantry (Sayville Food Pantry) being our primary beneficiary.  The food pantry has served as a conduit to purchase food gift cards for the families of our students, helped provide medication for people without health benefits, and assisted residents with their utility bills and rent.  The foundation has also served as a resource in the collection and distribution of additional contributions to help students and staff deal with tragic events in their lives.

Currently, the foundation collects regular contributions from 85 staff members. Their generosity is a source of hope and inspiration to those who benefit from our mission.  This year we hope to sustain and, perhaps, even expand our efforts.  We believe our foundation is another way that Sayville school employees continue to go above and beyond their traditional roles and extend themselves to actively help all constituencies within our community.
