Drop Off Pick Up Reminders

Safety Tips and Reminders

for Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Appealing to parents/drivers on behalf of all the Sayville students and staff, the Sayville School District Health and Safety Committee, chaired by Assistant Superintendent John Belmonte, would like to remind parents and caregivers about the student drop-off and pick-up procedures at each of our schools.

For example, the Middle School has designated the South Parking Lot for drop-offs and pick-ups during school hours. While the Middle School staff appreciates the cooperation of those who abide by the traffic safety plans, there have been frequent occasions when the North Parking Lot has been used, causing unsafe situations for students and staff. This breech in procedure has become a growing concern at the Middle School. For the safety of our students and staff alike, please use the South Parking Lot only for drop-offs and pick-ups during school hours.

At our elementary schools, parents also need to stay informed about the safest way to drop off and pick up their children. Contact the main office if you have any questions or check the Sayville School District Website for your school’s procedures.

By following the drop-off and pick-up procedures throughout the school district, you can greatly assist us in providing a safer environment for all students and staff.  Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
