    • What are the locations of the SCOPE Childcare Programs?

    All locations where SCOPE currently operates licensed childcare programs may be found on SCOPE’s website.  www.scopeonline.us

    • Who is eligible and may attend SCOPE Childcare Programs?

    SCOPE Childcare programs are currently limited to children in grades Pre-K – 6.

    Children currently enrolled will be provided priority along with children of health care workers and first responders.

     

    • How do I register?

    Registration will take place online at www.scopeonline.us.  Click on Before and After School Childcare.

     

    • What are the hours of operation?

    SCOPE program hours of operations will be 7 am – 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday.  Flexible schedules will be available.  Please check website.

     

    • How do you accommodate children with special needs?

    Children with special needs do currently attend SCOPE programs.  Individual plans will be developed with input from the parents in order to accommodate children with special needs.  SCOPE programs are licensed to administer certain medications based on children’s needs.

     

    • How will you secure the safety and health of my child?

    SCOPE programs are staffed with trained childcare professionals.  All children entering program will receive a daily health care check prior to entering program.  Children demonstrating any signs of fever (cough or other respiratory illness) will not be permitted to enter program.  In addition, parents who are ill will not be permitted to enter program.

    Staff and children are encouraged and required to be proactive and utilize frequent and thorough hand washing and other good hygiene practices to prevent spread of illness.  Visitors are prohibited. 

    Ratio of students to staff is 10 students:1 Staff.

     

    • What qualifications do SCOPE staff have?

    All SCOPE staff have completed a comprehensive background check through NYS Office of Children and Family Services and are trained childcare professionals.

     

     

    • What activities will children participate in during the day?

    SCOPE Childcare Programs in general are recreational in nature, although there will be time provided which includes active play, games, crafts, reading time, physical activity, study, snack time and other organized activities.

     

    • What food will be provided at the program?

    SCOPE will provide 100% USDA approved morning snack, afternoon snack, water and fruit juice.  Parents will be asked to provide children with lunch.  School districts may provide lunch for children on free or reduced lunch.  SCOPE programs are a nut free environment, and therefore, no food with nuts will be allowed.

     

    • What are the fees, and is there a registration fee?

    Due to the crises situation, SCOPE will waive registration fees.

    Children currently registered in SCOPE programs must re-register separately for this program and will be provided tuition adjustments if applicable.  After you have registered online, parents will received a confirmation notice of registration by email.  Programs are limited based on capacity and staffing.  Students will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis.

     

    For children of health care workers or first responders – please be certain to indicate occupation in order to receive priority registration.
